Those who we have lost....

For the past couple of months defineFREEDOM.com, and our crew has been sabbatical. We are however starting to get back to work and have a few announcements starting with the hardest. Over the past few months we have lost some great supporters of defineFREEDOM.com.

Lou Holtz elected to Hall of Fame


Lou Holtz was elected to the college football hall of fame on Thursday. He completed a card for definefreedom.com in the summer of 2007.

Dr. Michael Debakey receives the Congressional Gold Medal


Dr. Michael Debakey received the Congressional Gold Medal today for his work towards pioneering heart surgery.

He completed his freedom card last summer.

His card reads:

“Freedom is protection from slavery or oppression. It is precious, but it is not absolute, and it is not synonymous with license, for it entails self-discipline, responsibility, and accountability.”

Jacob DeShazer



Jacob DeShazer, a contributer, and freind of defineFREEDOM.com passed away this week, at the age of 95. DeShazer is best known for his role in the Doolittle Raids, where he and his crew was forced to bail out over Japan shortly after hitting their target.

DeShazer's card reads:
"'He who the son(Jesus) makes free, shall be free indeed.' John 8:36"
